The Events & Sales Manager will provide exceptional customer service assistance with private events inquiries. To work with current and prospective private event clients efficiently and effectively maximizing reservation capacities and revenue. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests.
  • To provide a friendly phone manner assisting guests with all inquiries
  • A thorough understanding of all booking policies and procedures
  • Works as a member of the restaurant team.  Interacts with service crew in a positive manner.  Assists others whenever needed.
  • Interacts with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, particularly in resolving Guest complaints.
  • Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are made.
  • Follow proper time and attendance and uniform procedures.

Requirements

  • Handle events, event systems, event office operations or any other function related to the event department as directed.
  • Appropriately handle all incoming leads using event management system (Tripleseat) and fully manage all aspects of events typically 30 guests and under, or as otherwise instructed by the General Manager.
  • Follow-up, manage, and anticipate clients’ needs on all stages of all events, (past, present and future) as directed by the General Manager.
  • Management of BEO system and proper updating of all departments as to BEO initial distribution and all subsequent BEO or event alterations
  • Management of Quadranet reservation system, including daily updating of PDR events as well any and and all updates required.
  • Create, maintain and update meeting agendas, minutes and action plan spreadsheets as needed
  • Coordinate scheduling needs for Events 
  • Maintain an alert and attentive demeanor at all times in addition to remaining calm during periods of heavy business volumes.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the private event space. Maintains highest standard of hygiene and sanitation.  Follows Health Department standards for hygiene and safe food handling.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or project as assigned by Zuma Management.

Education:

High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years restaurant, banquet or event sales and/or coordination experience required.

Licenses or Certificates:

Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
